enteredFrance"illegally") for several years explains the reasons of his commitment. Interview conducted

ERASMUSDAYS2024 WORKSHOPS MADE IN LYCÉE RAVEL SHARING Mr X Fourcade explained his personal motivations and the special status of exiles arriving in France before the age of 18, whom the State has undertaken "to protect".
But he also gave some details on the employment of migrants and their integration through work; although considered illegal immigrants, they constitute asought-after workforce in certain professional sectors and are recruited by entrepreneurs (the practice is prohibited by law, but has been tolerated in practice, and the fact of producing pay slips attesting to long-term employment obtained despite the rules paradoxically helps to obtain a regular residence permit). |
